UAEM's European branch will host its next annual conference on the weekend of April 25-27, 2014, in Basel (Switzerland).
We are looking forward to an exciting weekend with about 200 students from across Europe, from different fields (medicine, biomedical research, law, politics
). Under the slogan we have a drug problem we will discuss and work on various aspects of access to medicines (in- and outside Europe), with its focus on how to ensure that university innovations are accessible to low-income patients.
We will offer a rich program with high-profile speakers, inspiring workshops, a big public panel discussion, an exclusive tour of the headquarters of Novartis, a guided tour in the Swiss Tropical Institute and last but not least a groovy delinkage party on Saturday evening. Have a closer look into the program!
We would very much welcome participation by students from Eastern Europe and austerity affected countries, as access to medicines is aggravating especially in those countries. To facilitate participation, we were able to set aside a limited amount of travel funding.
If you are interested to join us for the conference and receive travel funding, please submit a short application to: alain.amstutz@stud.unibas.ch
We will assist with visa applications and visa costs wherever necessary. Please contact alain.amstutz@stud.
Help us to build up momentum for our movement and actions in Europe and be part of the biggest event of UAEM Europe so far!
Kind regards,
Alain (on behalf of the Organizing Committee)
